Aws Jaber
Associate Professor, Postdoctoral Researcher, and Project Manager in Cybersecurity and AI at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden.
Who Am I?
I am Aws Jaber, a seasoned cybersecurity expert with a PhD in Information Security. My passion for safeguarding individuals and organizations from online threats has been honed through years of experience and a deep understanding of the latest technologies and best practices.
I previously served as Project Manager for the AINCEPTION EDF Project (AINCEPTION-EU) in Sweden, under the guidance of Professor Pontus Johnson and spearheaded by Prof. Rolf Stadler. Our mission included developing AI-driven tools for detecting and responding to security threats, identifying malicious behavior from network traffic and logs, understanding and contextualizing threats, generating risk and impact-aware response actions, and automating their execution and evaluation. We delivered a proof-of-concept end-to-end detection and response prototype, tested in real-world scenarios in Sweden. The project closed in November 2025.
Beyond AINCEPTION, I hold a Postdoctoral Researcher position at KTH’s Division of Network and Systems Engineering, specializing in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. I also serve as an Associate Professor in Norway. My Google Scholar profile shows ~705 citations with an H-index of 12. I have industrial experience as a cybersecurity expert and project manager in Malaysia, UAE, and Sweden.
